Brooke Beck is a second year medical student at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Before medical school, she graduated from Dallas Baptist University then spent a year working on cancer clinical trials. She is interested in pursuing a career in emergency medicine and participating in international medical relief work. Her first exposure to medical simulation was prior to starting medical school, and she was eager to get involved as soon as she could. During her first year of medical school, she was part of a team that participated in the SIMS competition at the conference for TCEP (Texas College of Emergency Physicians). She currently serves as the president of her medical school’s simulation program. Brooke is motivated to incorporate simulation across all medical schools and encourage participation from students of all specialties. Outside of medicine, Brooke spends her time with her husband Cameron and her three sisters.
